The Weeknd
After Hours Til Dawn Tour
by Griffin Weil

Wow. If Mr. Tesfaye comes to your city, you’ve got to show out. I posted up at The Weeknd concert this past Saturday night and witnessed my whole world get shook. The set was a massive city on stage that would shift from song to song. I was mesmerized. The set grabbed my attention, and the incredible musical performance held it.
The set list was arranged meticulously, starting with a slower tempo Alone Again from After Hours, and gradually increasing in intensity with tracks from Dawn FM like Less Than Zero, my personal favorite from the concert. By the end, he was pulling at our heartstrings by scraping deep into his discography to pull out songs from My Dear Melancholy and House of Balloons. The contrast with these emotional pieces made the Blinding Lights finale that much more spectacular. All the while, Abel had guest performer Mike Dean rocking the synths in the background, providing the fans with a completely original listening experience that you just had to be present for.
Opening acts from extraordinary talents of the likes of Snoh Aalegra and Kaytranada set the stage for The Weeknd to come in and rock our worlds. Should the opportunity arise for you to see Abel perform live, seize it. Undoubtedly.
